Easy low-cost business
Easy Low-Cost Home Business
If you're really interested in starting a low-cost
home business, then I'll cut the chase and
tell you - point blank - that you go check out Elance.
My Home Business
I've been working as a freelance graphic designer cum administrative
assistant since 2002 through bidding on projects at Elance.
Being its service provider entails a minimal investment (fees).
I took that big bold step of paying the fees, not knowing if I will be able to
get a good return on investment.
My First Project
Getting my first project on
was really hard. Actually, it took me 4
months to win my first project. And it took me 1 whole month to finish that
project for less than $200 only. What a pity... it was even below minimum wage!
Honestly, I was already discouraged and was ready to give up at that time.
My First Customer Feedback
My first client gave me a 5-star (highest) rating for that project. This
helped me in getting my succeeding projects because it boosted my credibility as
a service provider. By God's grace - coupled with hard work, good customer
service, discipline, and perseverance - I now have a regular and loyal customer base.
Lesson Learned
My customers pay me to my Elance
account where I temporarily store my money up to around $1000. After which, I wire transfer the money from my
Elance
account to my local bank account. Seeing the money being actually credited to my
bank account opened my eyes to the vast money-making opportunities in the
internet.
It's not easy money. It's work. The only difference is... I work at the
comforts of my home.
Profitable Home Business
Sometimes, I outsource some of the illustration projects locally. For
example, I won a project for $1000, then I look for a local artist who is
willing to do the project for $400. Voila! I earned $600 for this project easily
with little sweat.
Or you can do it the other way around.
You outsource a project at Elance,
then sell the project locally.
For example...
- Your friend asks you to design a
website for $1000.
- You post a project
saying that your budget is $400. More likely than not, there are many service
providers who are willing to work for you within your budget.
- You award the
project.
- You submit the finished project to your friend.
- Your friend pays you $1000.
- You pay $400 to the service provider.
-
Voila! You just earned a whopping $600 for this project!
Multiply this method... and the numbers just add up! Can you see the BIG money-making potential here?
Actually, you can see the service providers' incomes at Elance.
You'll find out that some are earning around $20,000 a month! There are also
others who are earning just a few bucks. But, you see, it's the same
marketplace. You just have to be entrepreneurial in your strategy.
With Elance, you can easily set up your own graphic design business, web
development business, or a simple virtual office type of business. The clients
are already there. Just be creative! ;)
